Terms of Use
Effective date: August 29, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Final Vision, a browser-based film pre-production application ("the Service") operated by Final Form Studios ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What Final Vision is
Final Vision is a pre-production toolset: story development, screenplay editing, character reference management, storyboarding, shot listing, pre-visualization editing, and production reporting. Parts of the Service use third-party AI models to generate text and images at your request.
2. Early access
The Service is currently offered in early access ("alpha"). Features may change, break, or be removed; availability is not guaranteed. We recommend exporting your projects regularly. New accounts start with free credits, and the parts of the Service that do not generate — writing, editing, planning and export — carry no charge.
3. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to create an account.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the Service.
4. Your content and ownership
- Your work is yours. Scripts, characters, boards, edits, and exports you create with the Service belong to you. We claim no ownership of your projects.
- Project data is stored locally in your browser and in files you export. We do not use your creative content to train AI models.
- You are responsible for the content you create, including making sure it doesn't infringe someone else's rights.
5. Generation and credits
Generation runs on credits. We run each generation for you: your prompt and settings are sent to our server, we call the AI provider using our own key, and we return the result. Your prompt is still subject to the provider's content rules, and you remain responsible for what you generate. Every generation shows its price before you commit, and a generation that fails is refunded automatically.
Provider API keys. The Service no longer asks for, offers, or accepts your own provider keys. If you saved one in an earlier version it remains in your browser, is still used for the features that supported it, and is never transmitted to us — we have never received or stored it. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
5a. Credits
Credits are a prepaid balance used to run generations on our infrastructure. One credit is a unit of generation capacity; what a given generation costs is shown in credits before you run it.
- Prices are shown in credits before you generate, and larger generations ask you to confirm first.
- Credits are deducted when a generation starts. If a generation fails, the credits are returned to your balance automatically — you are not charged for output you did not receive.
- Credits expire 12 months after purchase. We will email you before any credits are due to expire. Where local law requires a longer period or prevents expiry, that law applies.
- Credits are not refundable, except where refund rights are required by law. They have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts.
- We may change credit prices for future purchases. Credits you have already bought are unaffected.
- If you saved a provider key in an earlier version of the Service, generations that use it are billed to you by that provider and do not consume credits.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to:
- violate any law, or infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- generate content depicting real people in a misleading or harmful way without their consent;
- attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service or its infrastructure;
- resell or misrepresent the Service as your own.
7. Paid plans and billing
- Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next billing cycle; you keep access, and your credits, for the period already paid.
- Subscription fees are not refundable — including for partial months and for credits you did not use — except where refund rights are required by law. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- If a charge went wrong, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right.
- Prices may change; existing subscribers will be notified before any change affects them. Founding-member pricing stays at its original rate for as long as the subscription remains active.
8. Session monitoring during alpha
During early access, and only with the consent you give at signup or login, the Service records product-usage sessions (screen activity, clicks, navigation) so we can see where filmmakers get stuck and improve the product. Passwords and any saved provider keys are excluded from these recordings. See the Privacy Policy for details.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated output can be inaccurate or unsuitable — review everything before you rely on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Because projects are stored locally and in your own exports, closing your account does not delete your creative work from your machine.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify account holders by email or in-product notice before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
